About Thailand Foundation
Thailand Foundation is responsible following the rules of the Personal Data Protection Act and - as of May 25th 2018 - the General Data Protection Regulation. This privacy statement provides information about the collection and processing of personal data by the Thailand Foundation.

How do we collect personal data and what do we do with it?
THAILAND FOUNDATION will store your data if:
- you make a donation to our organisation.
- you become a donor.
- you have indicated in any way that you wish to be contacted by us (for example, by filling in a form on our website); or
- someone as gift has made you a donor.
This data can be processed in three files: the regular database (where all our address data can be found, data program Cardscan / Excel), in our newsletters mode (this includes only name and e-mail) and in our bank details (that is only if you donate / sponsor of us or if you give us a one-off direct debit order).
Directly from you:
We immediately receive personal data from you, for example because you become a donor or sponsor of us or make a one-time donation via the donation form on our website. This will be done through our online donor / adoption / donation form on our website. If you register as donor or sponsor, fill in a form. You can see an example of this here, https: //thailandfoundation.nl/become a donor/
We enter this data in our regular database. It also states what the relationship is (for example, donor / gift / sponsor for a special project (the project is mentioned here). You will also be automatically registered in our newsletter file so that you receive our digital newsletter - because this is our way of communication, for example about projects supported by you. In the welcome e-mail it is made clear that you will automatically receive our e-mail newsletter whereby we point out the possibility to unsubscribe (link in the newsletter) or that you make clear by (return) e-mail that you are not newsletter, in which case we will remove your name from our newsletters file.
Payment and billing information:
if you enter into an agreement such as a sponsor or donor, we will also include your bank details in our database bank for the benefit of our payment administration, so that we can process direct debits as agreed with you. If the agreement ends, your data will be removed from the bank database.
Indirectly:
It happens that people subscribe someone else as donor or sponsor as a gift. Even then we receive personal data as mentioned above and will be processed as stated above.
Donations via Ideal:
On our website it is possible to make a direct donation via iDEAL. Personal data is then not known to us, but your e-mail address and your name. We include this in our regular database. You will also be automatically subscribed to our digital newsletter because this is our way of communication, for example about projects supported by you. In the thank-you e-mail it is made clear that you automatically receive our newsletter, whereby we point out the possibility to unsubscribe (link in the newsletter) or that you make clear by (return) mail that you do not want to receive a newsletter. In that case we will remove your name from our newsletters file.Your data will not be included in our bank database.
Other:
If we start an online petition or action, we do not ask you for personal data. At most we ask for your e-mail address. In principle, we will not do anything with this e-mail data. These are therefore not included in our database newsletter. Should we wish to include it in our newsletters database, you will be asked clearly and can only do so with your approval.
Contact forms:
On our website is also the possibility to fill in a contact form. These are automatically saved in a separate folder on our website (backstage). We will not include this information in our databases and can therefore never approach you in response to this contact form. After processing, these forms are immediately removed from the folder of our website, where they end up.Which personal data do we process in the context of our fundraising campaigns? The only way we can obtain information from you is if you register as a donor or adoptive parent, make a donation or have made it in the past, or specifically indicate that you want to be included in our database.

Donate anonymously:
Donors can decide to make a donation anonymously, so that no personal data is collected about the donor. Your data is not stored in our database and therefore we will not send you our newsletter.
Fundraising:
We will only contact you about the project for which you are registered with us. This means that we do not send e-mail to our supporters about campaigns and we will not contact the people that already support us by telephone.People who have made a donation or who were once donor or sponsor are approached annually with the question whether they want to donate again. This will be done by e-mail and it will be made clear that people can immediately indicate if they want to be removed from our database.
